Student Enterprise Awards
Students from Elphin Community College took part in this years Student Enterprise Awards.
The Schools final of the Student Enterprise Programme took place in Elphin Community College on the 1st of February.
1st place was awarded to Curlew Mountain Forge ,Jake Kennedy and Jack Murphy ,they produced stunning ,high quality hand crafted iron and copper products in their Forge.
Second place went to La Tranquillite, Ella Mc Carthy, Aisling Gormley and Amina Traboue. They produced handmade candles and cruelty free make up.
Kieran Beirne also competed with his company Colour Splash. He produced colourful framed, personalised prints.
A fourth group also produced high quality calendars ,with stunning photography of the locality ,by Ronan Clancy .Lead by the hardworking ,creative Daniel Dwyer ,Elphin Scenic also comprised of Mark Barron, Morgan Kearns and Alanagh Loftus. Students and teachers were delighted with the quality of their produce, work ethic and creativity. It has proven to be an invaluable learning experience. We would like to thank Anne Browne and Jeremy Cullen from the Local Enterprise Office for this opportunity.
