Anti Litter Video / Trash for Fash

The TY’s were busy the last two weeks between fixing up costumes out of recycled materials and producing an anti litter DVD for the Roscommon county council. The costumes have to have an eco friendly message and our class is going for an Asian theme with the Japanese kimono. A group of six are putting the costume together with recycled goods, also we have to make a ten minute presentation on recycling and what we can do with our environment.  We are also doing an anti litter DVD where we did a skit on the tv programme take me out. Two people from the production team came out to our school to film the DVD. It went very well. The Fashion show and premiere of the short film will take place on Tuesday 15th February in the Roscommon Arts Center. We would like to thank everyone who was involved especially Ms. Prendergast, Mr. Noone & Mr. Holahan who gave a huge amount of effort and time with the students throughout this experience.

Dail Visit

On Tuesday 8th February, the Junior Cert CSPE class traveled to Leinster House. We got a guided tour of the House including the House and Seanad.

Afterwards we were given a 1 ½ hour workshop on how democracy works in Ireland. We found this a great learning experience and will be useful especially for our CSPE Action Project.
