Trips & Educational Visits
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At Elphin Community College, school trips and educational visits are an important part of school life. They give students the opportunity to learn in new places, build friendships, develop independence and connect classroom learning with the wider world.
Whether students are visiting a college campus, taking part in an outdoor challenge, attending a cultural event, exploring careers, supporting the local community or travelling further afield, trips help create memories and learning experiences that last.
Why Trips Matter
Educational trips help students to experience learning in a different way. They support personal development, wellbeing, confidence, teamwork and a stronger sense of belonging within the school community.
Real-World Learning
Students see how classroom learning connects with careers, culture, community, nature, history, science, sport and the wider world.
